Two weeks down and going strong. At this point, my energy levels are...level. I'm no longer experiencing the incredible highs and flu-like lows of the first week and, thankfully, the psychological cravings that marked the second week have dwindled.
It just so happened that I had a planned-for "recovery" week during this past week, so my workouts were much less intense than normal. I was wondering if this would affect my results, but after doing my weekly weigh-in I realized that I had still lost an additional pound and had shed more bodyfat.
The question now is, "How far will this go?" Since my grocery routine, daily snacks, and overall well-being have adjusted, are are now comforably cruising along, why should I go jump back into an active carbohydrate addition after my 30-day detox?
Additional motivation to continue travelling deeper into the rabit hole came from reading an article, subtly named "How to Keep Feces Out of Your Bloodstream (or Lose 10lbs in 14 days)", from Tim Ferris' Experiments in Lifestyle Design blog. I highly recommend that you read it too.
