Paleo and Primal Cookbook Roundup

For years, health-seekers have been told foods like French fries, soda, and candy were "bad" and that high-fiber cereal, brown rice, whole grain bread, and beans were "good."  Well, French fries are still terrible for your health, but so is whole-grain. 


High-carbohydrate, grain-based diets emerged relatively late in our evolutionary history and we are ill suited for them.  One only has to look at our national health care bill to see catastrophic effects of our "SAD" Standard American Diet.


A new paradigm is emerging, evidenced by the explosion of The Paleo Diet, The Primal Blueprint, and other books, that blows apart the conventional wisdom.  Making the switch to a Paleo/Primal lifestyle can be tricky though.  After years of eating oatmeal for breakfast, sandwiches with whole grain bread for lunch, crackers with peanut butter for a snack, and pasta for dinner, the idea of living like a caveman can seem as oppressive as living under a rock.


To make the process a little easier, I decided to do a little roundup of the best Paleo and Primal cookbooks available.  These are a great launchpad for fledgling cavemen and cavewomen who are embarking upon their quest for ultimate health.
