Caveman Cuisine: Coconut Butter Bacon Chips

Bacon. Butter. Battlestar Galactica.


7oz package of coconut butter (Let's Do Organic is my preferred brand)
1 package uncured pork bacon (cooked crispy, cooled, and drained)


Heat a small pot of water to just below boiling.  Turn the heat off, and put your package of creamed coconut into the warm water.  As the creamed coconut heats up, you will have to knead it several times to completely soften it.

When your coconut butter has completely liquified, pour in into a shallow bowl.  Break off chunks of bacon and dip them in the coconut butter and place on a plate covered with wax paper.

When you have coated all of your bacon with coconut butter, chill them in the fridge for at least 30 min to set.

Yield: Something so wrong yet so right.
