A sure-fire way to get you daily dose of greens along with a shot of the superfood goji berry.
Ingredients:
2 large leaves of swiss chard
1/4 cup frozen goji berries
1/4 of a medium beet
1 small or 1/2 of a large frozen banana
1 tbsp shredded coconut
8-10 raw macadamia nuts
Dash cinnamon
1 tsp lemon or lime juice
8-12oz cold distilled water
Optional: 1-2 scoops 100% whey protein powder
Directions:
Add all ingredients except for the chard to the blender and mix thoroughly with 1/2 of the water. Add the chard to the blender (unlike me, you may want to chop it up before putting it in) and continue to blend until it is completely liquidized. Add additional water as needed to reach the desired consistency.
Yield: 2 super-green smoothies
