Daveman GROKS! - Episode 1: Origins

A modern day caveman.  He laughs loudly and carries a big stick.

Weathering the demands of work and family his primal roots withered.  Many years passed through the cycles sun and season, and when his young left to seek their fortune, he was left in personal solitude.

Facing the truth of his existence, he found his body soft and weak where it had once been strong. An inner door opened and through it walked a friend to set him on the path of salvation. He remembered his youth; a time spent climbing mountains, diving into the ocean’s depths, and possessing of the skills to survive in the unforgiving wilderness.

His membership to the world’s gym renewed, he now steeps himself in the beauty of nature. With a primal roar of “GROK ON!” he hurls stones, heaves logs, and dashes through the woods at an incredible pace.  Or, if the mood befits him, he may stop, pacing slowly to steep in the song of life.

Only when his labors are complete does he seek sustenance; the smoked flesh of animals, the raw vitality of vegetables, and the rare touch of fruit’s sweetness.  Yet he is unafraid of hunger and can travel great distances and move mountains fueled only by the burning of inner reserves.

What follows is an attempt to chronicle this man’s life; hunting, gathering and grokking around.
