What is Online Coaching?

I offer personal one-on-one wellness coaching based on the principles of evolutionary health, conducted remotely through email and phone consultations that engage participants in a holistic process focused on creating optimal health and well-being.

My Qualifications

I am a certified Health and Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine, and have a Bachelor's of Science degree from The University of Florida in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. Since 2006 I have worked with thousands of clients, helping clients of all ages, shapes and sizes find their path to optimal health.

How to Start

Because availability is limited, new clients must demonstrate interest and accountability by submitting a seven (7) day record of food, exercise, and activities as well as a physician's release, completed questionnaire, and liability waiver. Please note, in consideration of my schedule, a waiting period for coaching services may be required. Potential clients interested in the program will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which they contact me. Coaching Manifesto

I believe that the body and how it interacts with the world must be integrated.  This is done through fostering an environment that mirrors our evolutionary heritage.
These practices, however, will vary from person to person and reflect individual goals, expectations, and level of commitment.

Moving from "desire to change" to "acting on desire to change" is where most people get stuck.  The process can seem overwhelming as old patterns of thinking, living, and eating die hard.
This is why it is helpful to have someone who can guide you along the way, especially someone who has no connection to your past history. 
This is where I come in: bringing you back to the present and helping you move towards a new future by combining professional experience, the latest scientific knowledge, and a respectful, intuitive approach to coaching change. I've walked the walk, and know that it isn't going to be easy, but the rewards are invaluable.

What you must bring to the table is openness and a willingness live life differently than you have done in the past.  If you are reading this, chances are you desire something new in your life; whether you need to lose a significant amount of weight, are suffering from health problems, want to improve athletic performance, or get your thoughts, feelings, and emotions into alignment with your goals. My hope is to help you identify cause and effect, why your actions are leading to your results, and to encourage the release of the "good and bad" paradigm.  

My Program

Like I said before, this isn't going to be easy. I require that you honestly and accurately report information about your day to day lifestyle through regular emails and during phone consultations. You may also be asked to complete additional assignments or "challenges" that are relevant to your particular goals.

Admittedly, this approach goes far beyond personal training and nutrition coaching, but the results that can be achieved by this approach also go far beyond other more limited methods. I also understand that this process will inevitably have its ups and downs and I never expect or even desire "perfection."  As long as you are truly giving it your best, we can make it happen.

Creating significant life change is like moving a large boulder. The first change, the first struggling steps, are always the hardest.  This initial phase is the most energy intensive, but as you build momentum, it becomes easier and easier to keep the boulder rolling. The goal right from the very start is for YOU to be able to take charge of your life.

While it would be great if I could provide my services for free, experience shows that personal commitment goes hand in hand with financial commitment. Every situation is different, however, and I believe that cost should equate with benefit. The price, therefore, will depend on individual needs and the number and duration of sessions. I am happy to provide a complimentary consultation if there is a genuine desire to participate in my services.

If you would like to continue after the initial consultation, I require payment for the first phone/Skype session as well as your seven (7) day record of food, exercise, and activities, physician's release, completed questionnaire, and liability waiver.
