Get most of your calories from animals and preferably those who were treated well during their lifetimes (wild game or grass-fed/pastured eggs, meat, organs, and fat). Add bulk to your diet with as much fresh vegetables as you can eat (organic if the skin is consumed), treat yourself to fruit and enjoy nuts in moderation. As much as possible, reduce neolithic agents of disease (NADs) like grains (including corn, rice, wheat, etc.), legumes (peanuts, soy, peas, etc.), sugar/sweeteners (regular and diet sodas, candy, etc.), excess alcohol, artificial colors/flavors, and genetically modified foods (GMO).
Jump, climb, walk, run, swim and go barefoot as much as possible. Work harder or easier depending on how your body feels and invest in a pair of Vibram Five Fingers if you don't have caveman-like callouses on your feet. When you exercise, focus on movements that strengthen your entire body like push-ups, pull-ups, hand-stands, squats, and lunges. Use dumbbells and other forms of external resistance to develop a strong core and stable joints. When "flight" wasn't an option, our ancestors would have to "fight" and there are numerous benefits to training in some sort of martial art such as wrestling, boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, Judo, etc.
Start a herb/vegetable garden (box, container, or even just a few pots on your windowsill), raise some chickens, or at the very least, visit a local farm or get to know the purveyors at your neighborhood fruit stand. Food comes from the ground, not a box and respect for the earth, your body, and what you put in it comes from this connection.
4) Take a break from technology.
Fasting isn't just for food. A minimum of one day a week should be spent outside, away from the computer/internet, and with the phone turned off. Otherwise, you may end up suffering from chronic divided attention (i.e. multitasking) which impairs mental acuity and agility. EMF (electro magnetic field) radiation has also been implicated in adrenal exhaustion, a state of disregulated cortisol production.5) Reclaim your brain.
Allow yourself to experience mental quietude by regularly practicing meditation/visualization. Yoga, Tai Chi, and breathing exercises can help facilitate the process. The human intellect is a powerful tool but don't confuse the wielder with the wielded. If left unchecked, the mind can become a prison that the spirit will inevitably need to escape.
6) Build your tribe.
In a tribe, the connections are fewer, but deeper. Cultivate friendships that are reciprocal and rewarding. When it comes to relationships, quality trumps quantity. It doesn't matter if you have 500 "friends" on Facebook if you can't call one person in a time of need.7) Know your needs.
While wants are unlimited, needs are typically few. Try primitive camping for a few days, pack less when you go on vacation, and limit your exposure to advertisements (TV, magazines, etc.) and you may find that happiness is closer than you think.
